Ingredients

  • 16 oz black pearl oyster mushrooms

  • 3 TB coconut oil

  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce

  • 2 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 TB sesame seeds

How To Make Teriyaki Glazed Oyster Mushroom Steak

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Heat coconut oil in a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. If you are not using cast iron, you may need to transfer the mushrooms to an oven-safe pan for roasting. Sprinkle mushrooms with salt and pepper.

  3. Fry the mushrooms until the edges begin to crisp. While the mushrooms are frying, make a glaze with the teriyaki sauce by heating it over medium heat in a small pot with the cornstarch and garlic powder until it simmers and thickens.

  4. Spoon the glaze over the mushrooms and broil/roast in the oven at 400°F for 10–12 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve alongside steamed rice, or stir-fried noodles.
